Om bhur bhuvah svah tat savitur varenyam bhargo devasya dhimahi dhiyo yo nah prachodayat. The eternal, earth, air, heaven
That glory, that resplendence of the sun May we contemplate the brilliance of that light May the sun inspire our minds.
*English Translation by Douglas Brooks.
I learned this beautiful mantra in India and have been using it daily for several years now. I say it after my morning meditation at least 6 times, which is a traditional way to practice this mantra in the Indian culture.
This powerful mantra aligns us with our positive mind, which is an amazing way to start the day. It also invites us to tune into and expand in our light. In doing so, we uplift our spirit and increase our radiance.
It is more important than ever that we expand in our light.
This has been a really hard year and half for so many of us, making it an imperative time to get in touch with the inner wisdom offered to us by the brilliance of our own light!
When we expand in our light, we energetically give others permission to also shine their light. You can start just by listening to this mantra ~ you can find my favorite version on Spotify here.
Then once you start getting used to how to pronounce the mantra, you can start to repeat it 6-12 times each morning at the end of your morning meditation practice.
